First
Party Games
A single
party game is a game in which is available on just one game platform this would
include games such as Forza Motorsport only available on the Xbox, and the
second would be The Last Of Us/The Last Of Us: remastered which is only
available on the PlayStation Platform and the third and final would be Super
Matio Bro's only available on Nintendo. One advantage of a Single Party game
is, it is only available on one platform this is an advantage because, people
who want this game will have to buy the console to play the game which is only
available on this console. This can link in with RockStar because when Grand
Theft Auto first came out it was only available on the PlayStation 2, causing the
people to buy the PlayStation 2 over the Xbox as it had the start of the Grand
Theft Auto series on.
Second
Party Games
A second
party game is a game in which a console company would pay a certain
developer to create a game such as Naughty Dog for the PlayStation who have
created classics such as Crash Bandicoot and the Uncharted series, Microsoft
Studios for the Xbox who have created the Halo series, and finally Game
Freak for the Nintendo who have created the Pokémon series for them.
Third
Party Games
A third
party game is a company in which creates a game which would be
available for many different consoles this would
include companies such as EA who will try and get their games on
every console that is out one example would include the FIFA series
which has been on every PlayStation, and Xbox console since they have
began and also been on some of the Nintendo devices such as the Nintendo DS,
and WII U. Another example of a third party game would be the Call of Duty
Franchise which has been about for just under 13 years and are on many
platforms such as PS2/PS3/PS4, Xbox, iOS, and Nintendo showing the different
consoles and platforms you are able to get this on.
