P5d Target Audience

The main target audience for my game would be people who like racing games and people who like the film Despicable Me. The reason behind this is the game is a racing game and is based within the film world of Despicable Me. As well as this it would be enjoyable for people who just want to relax and play a game which is calming, as it won’t make you feel frustrated when you are playing the game.

Because the game also has two different points of view it will also mean that people who only like to play racing games in first person are able to play it in first person as well as third person. This I believe will allow more people to buy the game because they will get the option to choose if they want the game in first or third person.

The rating of my game will be 3+ the reason for this is I would classify the game as being available for anyone to play if they wanted to because there is no violence, foul language, drug usage, or sexual references throughout the game. By making my game 3+ it would also allow anyone to get the game whether that would be the free version on Android or iOS or the purchasable versions of the Xbox One, PS4, or off Steam. This would allow more people to play the game opening the target audience to people who want to play the free version on the app store/play store with less content or whether they would want to play on their console or computer/laptop.

If someone is wanting to get this game on their phone it would be free for them to download due to the fact that there is not as much content as there is in the purchasable version on their console or computer/laptop. I have decided to give a price of the game when it is released on the computer gaming engine Steam and on consoles the price would be set at £15 because it is a game which the whole family can enjoy at a cheap price. Because the game is free on mobile phone devices I would be making money from adding in advertisements, and DLC which would be released straight away. The game will be aimed towards more casual gamers this is because the game's main demographic is primary school children.
