P2A Genre
Grand Theft Auto V is a sandbox adventure genre this means
that you can do near enough anything. You can do things such as steal cars and
drive them, go to the airport and fly airplanes or helicopters. You can then go
and rob different stores, buy stuff from different stores and kill people
whilst you are playing this game. This is available in both single and
multiplayer game modes. As well as this being a sandbox adventure game it is
also a third-person shooter game this means that the game is played in first
person but since the game was made to suit the power of the PS4, and Xbox One
it also has a first person shooter mode meaning that you can switch between the
two, but many people find it a lot easier to play the game in the third person
mode. As you can see underneath you are able to see the different in the two.
That Dragon Cancer
This game
is an art game. An art game is a game in which is interactive and is a new
animated game but is still within the art genre which is a small ‘sub-genre’.
Other examples of games in the art genre are; Journey, and Portal. These are
also first person games which is an interactive story with not violence, such
as Gone Home with no violence in it.
This game has three different genres in which it is able to
go into, they are the following; action, adventure, and stealth. The game would
fit perfectly into a stealth game because you are required to assassinate
people meaning that you can’t be caught nor detected by people around you. It
would fit into the action genre because in parts of it you would be fighting
people as well as killing people. It would be an adventure game because you
would be required to walk around the virtual world which is a huge map meaning
that you can discover something different every time you walk around the map.
Minecraft
This game
would fall under two of the different genres available they would include
things such as survival world, , and sandbox (which also means open world genre,
which would be the games main overall genre). The reason that the sandbox genre
would be the main overall genre is because there is no set world and anyone is
able to join in. the survival genre would fit into Minecraft because there is a
survival game mode were you start with nothing, make a house then go mining for
different things such as gold, iron, emeralds, coal, and diamonds, these materials
would then help them survive by making armour and weapons.
