Race on the Minion

Format: I am going to be producing a racing game in which you will race as different characters’ form Despicable me. This will be my own choice of genre and should be released in the regions I would like it to be released in. It will allow the different people who play this game to get a feel of other classic racing games with fictional cartoon characters such as Mario Kart.

Working Title:  I have two different working title’s that I have in mind the first being Race the minion which I believe is a good title and the one I should use and the second being; Minion Racing the reason I like both of these titles is, I think that if people read this game title and play the game then it will stick in their heads and they can tell other people to download and play this game.

Genre: I have chosen the genre of my game to be a 3D racing game, the reason behind the genre of my game being a 3D racing game is it shall be getting created on a 3D game making software and they will be racing other players or against the computer.

Content: My game will be set in a different planet as minions racing against each other. This planet will be like no other as there is not a sun or no night time but there is just a sky with different colours. There will be a couple of obstacles that are able to take out the racers if they are not fast enough, as well as the obstacles obstructing them you are also able to pick up bananas off the floor which will give the racers a boost within the game, then you are able to throw the banana skin onto the floor to cause opponents to slip and slow down during the race.

Style or Approach: The style and the approach of the level would be people racing on top of a minion face which will make the game more appealing to children as they will see this as being funny, as well as being enjoyable. The main colour of the game will be yellow as you will be playing on top of a minion face because a minion is yellow.

Audience: The audience of my game is going to be people who are aged between 8 and 13 this is because people who are below the age of 8 are unlikely to be playing video games on a phone, console or a computer because they might not know how to use it. I have put a cap on the age gap at 13 because people older than this are more than likely not going to be playing this game.

Length: My game is going to have numerous different levels it will include different locations so that the people who are playing the game don’t get bored of the same old level. By doing this I could add in different content by adding in bonus races where you are able to race as the humans who are in the Despicable Me series such as Gru, Lucy Wilde, Agnes, Margo, Edith, Balthazar Bratt, and Dr Nefario. Who are characters within the film who are humans.

Frequency: you will be able to play this game anytime you would like because it is downloaded onto your IOS or Android device such as an iPad or a Samsung phone. this means when you are out and you are bored you are able to open up the game on your device then you are able to play on the game. The reason I have put the game like this is people are able to play the game anywhere they would like. There will be no cost to download the game on iOS, and android but people are able to download additional characters on the game such as Bob the Minion costumes meaning that people are able to pay us some money to get these additional features. But you can play it on consoles as a better version which will cost people 15 pound to buy the game.
